Every price below states whether it is an asking figure (advertised) or an achieved figure (registered sale), together with its source and observation date. Asking prices typically run 5–15% above achieved prices and the gap varies by country, so the two are never ranked against one another. Amsterdam inverts the usual relationship: Dutch buyers routinely bid above the asking price, so the achieved figure there is the higher of the two.
